At one point, it was alleged that Veronica’s brother sexually abused her children and that she still let them be around him.

Many of the court documents have since been locked down, but there is evidence that Wrangler has a criminal past.

Jilian was one of four people approved by the court to be a supervisor during Veronica’s visitation with her children. This is why they were traveling together. They were going to pick up the children from their paternal grandmother’s home to take them to a birthday party. The women never arrived to pick up the children.

As some background into Jilian, she is the wife of a new minister at Willow Christian Church in Nebraska, according to their Facebook post.

He previously was the pastor at Hugoton First Christian Church in Kansas, The McCook Gazette reported, the same area where Ms Butler’s church is also located.

The vehicle was found near Highway 95 and Road L, in rural Texas county, Oklahoma – just south of Elkhart,Kansasa rural community on the southern border of the state.

Veronica’s stepmother Guadalupe Torres, and her father, Clinton Butler, separately told NBC News that Veronica had been engaged in a heated custody dispute at the time of the disappearance.

On April 3, OSBI spokesperson Hunter McKee told NBC that there are currently no suspects in the investigation, and no threats against the women have been reported.

Despite this, Mr McKee told ABC News that “there’s every reason to believe that they could be in danger.”

“It was a very rural area. They’re nowhere to be found. … The fact that we’ve had no contact with them for this long,” he added.

“Agents are still working around the clock on this to try to find where these women are, what may have occurred,” Mr McKee said to NBC.

There have been varying reports about who actually found the abandoned vehicle.

News Nation says that Veronica’s partner was the one to find the car.

Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, from Hugoton, Kansas, disappeared Saturdaywithout a trace except for an abandoned car found by Butler’s husband on the side of a road.

Fox News says that Jilian’s husband and his friend found the vehicle.

Singer added that the women, who are from Hugoton, were driving to pick up Veronica’s children on Saturday to take them back to a birthday party. When he received word they never made it to their destination, Singer said he and Kelley’s husband got in a car and drove in the direction they believed they were heading – only to encounter their abandoned vehicle surrounded by law enforcement.

Police have not specified what the evidence of foul play is, but online comments indicate a bloody hammer and pools of blood were found at the scene. It is rumored that the car windows had been smashed out. It has also been said that the women’s phones have not been found.

Veronica’s ex Wrangler was in court appointed rehab at the time the women vanished.

On April 6, it was said that law enforcement were the ones to find the abandoned vehicle initially. Hunter McKee from the OSBI said the abandoned vehicle was found by Texas County deputies. No arrests have been made in the case to date.

On April 13, 2024, the OSBI released the following statement:

On April 13, 43-year-old Tad Bert Cullum, 54-year-old Tifany Machel Adams, 50-year-old Cole Earl Twombly, and 44-year-old Cora Twombly were arrested in Texas and Cimarron Counties. All four individuals were booked into the Texas County Jail on two counts of First-Degree Murder, two counts of Kidnapping, and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree.

Tifany is the mother of Wrangler, the father of Veronica’s children. Tad is her partner. Tifany is the person who had custody of Veronica’s children.

Jilian’s mother made the following posts online around the time of the arrests.

At the time of the arrests, Jilian and Veronica were still missing.

News Nation released articles alleging that both of the women had been shot and that blood was found in and near the abandoned vehicle.

On Sunday, the OSBI tweeted the following info:

“Today, the OSBI [Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation], @FBI, and the Texas County Sheriff’s Office recovered two deceased persons in rural Texas Count.”

They added: “Both individuals will be transported to the Office of the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner to determine identification and cause and manner of death.”

The affidavits have been released following the four arrests in this case. We have learned some new information from the documents:

We have learned that Tifany Adams (the grandmother of Veronica’s children) preferred that Veronica’s visits be supervised by a woman named Cheryl Brune. The court said that if Tifany wanted to choose the supervisor, she would have to pay. Otherwise, Veronica could pick from the court appointed list and pay the person. Tifany told Veronica that Cheryl was not available for the visit on the 30th, so Veronica asked Jilian to supervise.

Investigators interviewed Cheryl and she said that she had been available to supervise that day. She said that Tifany told her to take a few weeks off from visitation duties. Tifany told Cheryl she wanted to question the children as to how the other supervisors were.

The documents confirmed that some of Veronica’s family were the ones to find the abandoned vehicle after the women did not show up for the visit as planned.

Tifany told OSBI that she had called Veronica at 9am to confirm the meeting and planned pickup. She said that Veronica told her something came up and she wasn’t going to make it. When police looked into phone records, they discovered that Veronica was in Hugoton picking up Jilian, to goto the meet as planned.

Police found out that the women’s phones stopped transmitting signals at around 942am on March 30. Neither phone was found at the scene and both devices have not been recovered.

The affidavit states that there was due to be a hearing in the custody case on April 17, 2024. It was thought that Veronica was likely to receive unsupervised visitation with the kids from that point on.

Wrangler, Tifany’s son, spoke in court documents about death threats made by his mother and her partner Tad. Tifany also refused to let Wrangler see his own children on occasion, even though he had legal custody of them.

Wrangler’s grandmother, Debi Knox Davis, said that in February 2024, Wrangler told her they didnt have to worry about the custody battle much longer as Tifany had it under control. Wrangler also apparently said that Tifany knew the path the judge took to work and that ‘we will take out Veronica at drop off.’ Wrangler has denied that this conversation took place.

Police searched Tifany’s phone data and found that she had searched for taser pain level, gun shops, prepaid cell phones and how to get someone out of their house.

Police also interviewed CW, the 16 y/o daughter of Cole and Cora Twombly. The teen said that Cora told her that the four who have now been arrested, as well as Paul Grice, were involved in the deaths of the women. She said Tifany had given Cora two burner phones so they could communicate and the daughter saw these on Cora’s nightstand.

CW said that her parents told her they would not be home on the morning of March 30 as they were going on a ‘mission’. CW awoke at 10am and they were not home. They got back at 12pm. CW asked her mother what happened. She was told that things did not go as planned but they would not have to worry about Veronica again. CW said that Cora and Cole blocked the road to stop the women. CW asked if the bodies were put in a well and Cora replied ‘something like that.’

CW also said there were previous attempts to kill Veronica in February 2024. Their previous plan to kill her involved throwing an anvil through her windshield while she was driving. They thought it would like an accident as anvils regularly fall off vehicles.

On March 23, 2024, Tifany purchased five stun guns at a store in Oklahoma. They found that she had purchased three prepaid phones at Walmart on February 13, 2024. All three of these phones were found to be in the area near where Veronica’s vehicle was found.

Two of the numbers were known to be at a property owned by Jamie Beasley, after the women went missing on March 30. Concrete was moved on the property and a hole had been dug and then filled back in and covered with hay.

All of the prepaid phones stopped transmitting on the morning of March 30, at locations near the Twombly’s place and the Beasley property.

The document goes into Tad’s connection to the Beasley property.
