When real estate mogul Andrew Silverman upgraded his wife's ring with a 10-karat diamond, he did not know something sinister was brewing underneath.
Andrew and his then-wife Lauren Silverman had been married for over a decade when news broke that she was pregnant with "America's Got Talent" judge Simon Cowell's child.
The duo has a child named Adam together. They would reportedly fly worldwide vacationing, and it was on one of their vacations to Barbados that Andrew introduced Lauren to Simon.

The couple would go on vacations together with Simon and his partner at the time, Mezhgan Hussainy. Simon and Mezhgan met on the 2003 edition of the "American Idol," where she was employed as the make-up artist.
There were rumors that Andrew and Lauren were having problems in their marriage as Andrew's, parents Eleonora and Allen, were not present at their wedding ceremony.

The couple would plan trips for a month, and when Andrew would leave on business, Lauren stayed behind. She would reportedly go on those trips, leaving their son Adam for long periods. It was reported that she started having an affair with Simon during one of the trips.
She accused Andrew of traveling all over the world, partying with different girls, and stated this was why she got close to Simon. Andrew was reportedly devastated when pictures of Lauren and Simon kissing on a yacht were released after he upgraded her engagement ring.
He then reportedly filed for a divorce, stating adultery as the basis. Lauren, in her statement, claimed Andrew knew about her relationship with Simon and that they had an agreement in place.
She explained that Andrew knew she would call Simon multiple times a day and that he had no issues with her traveling to the UK to see the "AGT" judge.
Lauren's friends said she was in love with Simon and planned to marry him. They were already seeing each other for about a year and even went house-hunting together in Los Angeles.

DIVORCE SETTLEMENT
Andrew reportedly returned to a house the couple owned in the Hamptons and stayed for a night. There was little to no conversation with Lauren as the atmosphere surrounding the couple was untenable.
He filed for divorce, naming Simon a co-respondent, and wanted full custody of their son Adam. He also accused her of being cruel and inhuman.

Lauren reportedly would not agree with giving him full custody. She explained that he was hardly around and would not have time to take care of Adam as she would.
Lauren also tried to show that she was committed to taking care of her child and sorting things out with Andrew. She also requested privacy from the media.

SIMON COWELL'S STANCE
Lauren was already pregnant, and the multimillion music star was reportedly focused on Lauren and his unborn child. He was excited about the birth and would provide anything the child needed.
Reportedly, Simon was said to be happiest when he was with Lauren. He just wanted the divorce settlement to be over. Although he reportedly once said he did not believe he was a parent material and would not have children.

He admitted he could not keep up with the routine of raising a child and did not fancy getting up at a certain time when he would rather be in a corner thinking.
He later took back those comments, claiming he likes kids but could not deal with the first six months. However, Simon's mom Julie was pleased with the thought of becoming a grandmother saying she was pleased for him.
SIMON'S PAST RELATIONSHIPS
Simon dated Paula Hamilton in 1976, and she reportedly lost her virginity to him when she was just 16. In 1970, he dated Jackie St Clair, but they were not together for very long; however, they remain friends.
Simon was also engaged to model Louise Payne from 1995 till 1998. He was also in an on-and-off relationship with musician Sinitta for almost twenty years.
He dated Alice Douvall for six months in 2001, and she claimed in an interview that they once had sex eleven times in one night. He met Georgina Law at Spearmint Rhino gentlemen's club, where she worked as a lap dancer, and they dated for about a year in 2001.
Terri Seymour and Simon dated for four years before eventually breaking up in 2006. Shortly after, he reportedly started dating Jasmine Lennard, but this only lasted six months.
He had a short relationship with Danni Minogue in 2007, during their time as judges on "The X Factor." Mezhgan Hussainy and Simon dated from 2009 till 2011. They broke up according to reports that she was too needy for him.
Simon dated Carmen Electra, also his fellow judge on "X-Factor'' but they called things off in 2013. Since 2013, he has been in a relationship with Lauren Silverman.

Lauren and Simon are still together and have been since she officially broke things with her ex-husband, Andrew. They have one son together named Eric, who was born on February 14, 2014.
There were rumors recently that Simon was cheating on her with another of his co-judge, Mel B. Simon has come out to deny the allegations and was reportedly shocked when Lauren accused him.
Things have since been resolved between them, and they are all back on speaking terms. Simon is currently back working in California after the COVID-19 pandemic and was seen donning a mask recently.
