Genshin Impact Natlan Leaks Hint At A Deadly New Weekly Boss Fight (2024)

New leaks about Natlan in Genshin Impact have already started detailing the possible first weekly boss for the region, hinting at what may be a deadly encounter. Natlan is the next major Nation of Teyvat to arrive in HoYoverse’s popular action RPG, following Fontaine’s release last year. The Nation of Pyro is bound to be a hostile environment with War being its guiding principle, but with the main story starting to get more serious right ahead of the release of Natlan in Genshin Impact, it seems like that seriousness will be translated into the weekly boss fights, too.

New and enigmatic information provided by the leaker known as White, which was shared in a post tagged as “Sus” on Reddit, Natlan’s first Trounce Domain boss was an envoy from Celestia’s gods. The leak also seems to indicate that the highly rumored Natlan character called Xbalanque will be the one to face the boss, while the Traveler watches from the outside – or, at least, will watch the conclusion of the fight after trying to beat the leaked new Natlan boss from Genshin Impact.

Creature’s Rumors Indicate The Game’s Largest Threat Is Awakening

While the details provided by the leaker were mostly mysterious, there are a few details that hint toward a concerning and challenging boss fight. The first is that the Traveler will not be the one to face them, at least when it comes to the narrative aspect. If the Traveler is not the one capable of beating the rumored boss, relying on who is actually rumored to be the tutor to the Pyro Archon, then the creature may be extremely powerful – possibly stronger than any weekly boss that has been released in Genshin Impact before.

Another point from White’s leaks that is worth noting is that this boss is supposedly an envoy from Celestia. If this is true, then it is very likely it has been dispatched by the Heavenly Principles, which has been asleep until now. If the Primordial One sent this rumored envoy from Celestia, it may have finally awoken, and the war of Teyvat’s gods against it may be drawing closer than ever. Little is known about the Primordial One in Genshin Impact, but more details may start to be shared in Natlan.

Despite having thrones in Celestia, all the Archons met so far are wary of the Heavenly Principles and do not actually align themselves with it – with Focalors going so far as to shatter her own throne to save the people of Fontaine and restore Neuvillette’s powers as the Hydro Sovereign. Recently, a short cutscene with Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko hinted at an upcoming war, which may be the gods against the Heavenly Principles. If the leaks are true, then the conflict may be encroaching, with the Heavenly Principles awakening during the Natlan arc.

For now, leaks should be taken with a degree of caution, especially one as enigmatic as this one – there are also rumors about Columbina being the region's weekly boss, and now the recent leak has even provided ground for speculation about Columbina being a spy for Celestia. Nevertheless, Trounce Domain bosses have been getting more challenging with every release, so it would make sense if the new Natlan weekly boss in Genshin Impact ended up being the toughest one yet, surpassing even the Knave’s punishing encounter, for instance.
