The Opportunity - Film Tax Incentive AnalystJoin us in a dynamic role focused on providing essential day-to-day administrative and customer service support for our state film tax incentive project. Guide customers and our team on improvements, verify calculations, handle setups, payments, and reporting. Assist with quarter-end and year-end filings and other payroll tax tasks. What You'll Do

• Work with customers and provide guidance on how to qualify for a state film tax incentive
• Verify eligible withholdings, complete filings, and provide customers with the necessary reports for their audits.
• Collaborate with our engineering teams with process-mapping, consulting on tax calculation setups, and automating reports
• Streamline our film tax incentive lifecycle from when our customer creates an eligible project to providing appropriate reports for their tax audit
• Audit taxable wage and tax withholding calculations, then submit errors to approve changes
• Create training material for both internal teams and customers
• Assist the payroll tax team with tax filings, amendments, and resolving tax notices
• Maintain tax code and tax rate databases within proprietary system and Mastertax
• Maintain agency accounts
• Provide feedback on potential compliance concerns
• Provide support to internal teams and clients
• Contact state agencies to resolve issues
• Other duties as assigned
• Review amendment requests and prepare federal and state amendments
• Reconcile daily tax payments to ensure timely payment

What You'll Have

• 4+ years of film tax incentive consulting and processing experience
• Previous entertainment payroll experience required or direct experience within the entertainment industry in relation to film tax incentives
• Multi-state payroll tax reconciliation and filing experience
• Federal and state tax amendment experience a plus
• Understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws
• Demonstrated understanding of incentive tax reporting requirements and rates
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Proven Excel skills
